Handcrafted from recycled glass discs, our charming Mānuka Disc Earrings feature a simple, yet distinctive, stylised mānuka flower motif. The design is iron fused in our kiln onto the surface of the glass, hence the slight reddish colour. Every step of the making is done by us here in the StoneArrow workshop, starting from core-drilling the discs from bottles, to being finished with handmade recycled Sterling Silver hooks.
With a diameter of 17mm, they are a more dainty size than our popular Fantail Disc Earrings, which perfectly complements the delicate nature of the actual flowers and the slightly whimsical feel of these earrings. (Image on model to show scale coming soon!)
Measurements excluding hook: 17mm (diameter) x 3mm(depth)
Length with hook: 28mm
Available in: Clear (Dancing Sands Gin); Light Blue (Bombay Sapphire); Green (Jagermeister).
**Due to the nature of the process and the use of recycled materials, colour and size may vary slightly from photo**
Mānuka (Leptospermum scoparium) is a common native plant found throughout New Zealand, which has an abundance of small white, pink or red flowers. Also known as "tea tree" for the brew made from its leaves, it has become most famous around the world for the honey derived from it with its many proven health benefits. These sweet smelling little flowers are pretty special!
