Disc of recycled glass cut from a recycled bottle with an image of the New Zealand native flax bush (Harakeke) fused onto the surface. Finished with a solid sterling silver chain.
Harekeke was a plant widely used by both Maori and European settlers. Its uses ranged from clothing, baskets and as a building material to rope and sailmaking.
The design is actually iron fused onto the surface of the glass hence the slight reddish colour.
